Anurak Community Lodge sits right on the edge of Khao Sok National Park, one of the oldest and most diverse rainforests in the world. It’s hugely biodiverse here. Wildlife includes elephants, gibbons and leopards. The park is also home to stunning breathtaking Cheow Lan Lake, where towering karst formations rise from emerald waters.
The lodge works with local communities from the nearby villages to provide employment, training and income opportunities. Anurak also supports environmental conservation by using renewable energy sources, reducing waste and water consumption, planting trees and flowers – the lodge is situated on a 6-hectare palm plantation, which is now being replaced with indigenous trees and plants, – and participating in wildlife protection projects.
