Puros Bush Lodge and Camp, Namibia
Desert Rhino Camp is a small tented camp in Damaraland, northwestern Namibia, operated within the Palmwag Conservancy, a vast tract of communal land covering over 500,000 hectares. Eight furnished desert tents sit in an arid rocky landscape of basalt plains and dry riverbeds, with views extending to distant mountain ridges. The camp runs in partnership with local Damara communities who provide guides for the main activity: tracking black rhino on foot across open country. The conservancy supports the largest free-roaming population of black rhino outside a national park, and desert-adapted elephant and lion are also regularly encountered.
