Getting there
The nearest airport to Mayal Lyang is Bagdogra in West Bengal, which is about 5 hours drive away. You can also take a train to New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri and then hire a taxi or a shared jeep. From Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, it takes about 3 hours to reach Mayal Lyang by road. You will need a permit to enter Dzongu, which can be arranged by the hosts or your travel agent.
