This is the place to come for spiritual practice. Zhiwaling Heritage is a luxurious retreat in the beautiful Paro Valley of Bhutan. The resort spans 10 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and traditional Bhutanese buildings, designed to reflect the country’s rich cultural heritage. Constructed using centuries-old techniques, the property features intricately hand-carved wooden beams and panels, showcasing the artistry of Bhutanese craftsmen.
The hotel has 45 suites, each decorated with authentic Bhutanese art and textiles. The suites are designed to make the most of the gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. Zhiwaling Heritage has a traditional Bhutanese temple (Lhakhang) on site, a meditation house, a tea house to learn the traditional way of preparing butter tea, and a spa offering holistic treatments using indigenous herbs. Yoga is practiced daily as is meditation.
