The Astungkara Way is a network of regenerative travel routes weaving through Bali’s countryside, offering a fantastic immersive alternative to the island’s mainstream tourism. The trail links organic farms, traditional villages, bamboo forests, and permaculture projects. Walk, cycle, or join curated experiences that incorporate farming, cooking, meditation, and storytelling, often guided by local youth trained as eco-guides. Founded by Balinese-led organisation Astungkara Way, the initiative’s mission is to support Bali’s transition from monoculture and over-tourism to ecological and cultural resilience.
