Hotel Lyra

Hotel Lyra is a boutique 4* hotel situated near to the sublime UNESCO Plitvice Lakes National Park with its cool turquoise lakes and foaming waterfalls. The region is home to brown bears, wolves, lynx, wildcats and over 120 species of bird including eagles.

Elderly women were invited to the hotel to teach chefs how to prepare traditional local dishes which are now served to guests using seasonal and local produce. The Tara Cooperative was established to help local women continue with crafts which are sold in the hotel shop.
