Cielo Lodge is a rainforest ecolodge that offers a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation in a stunning natural setting. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Golfo Dulce, this eco-friendly lodge features six canopy suites, built with natural materials and open to the views and sounds of the jungle. The lodge is situated on a 380-acre private reserve of primary and secondary rainforest, which is home to over 400 species of birds, monkeys, sloths, frogs, and other animals. The reserve also offers access to two waterfalls with natural pools for swimming. Cielo Lodge is part of the Osa Peninsula, a region that boasts some of the most impressive natural attractions in Central America, such as Corcovado National Park, Piedras Blancas National Park, and Isla del Caño.

Cielo Lodge has plenty of activities to keep you entertained and relaxed. You can swim in the ocean or in the natural pool, hike or bike through the forest trails, canoe or kayak along the gulf, birdwatch or wildlife watch in the reserve, or join a guided tour to the nearby national parks or islands. You can also practice yoga or meditation on the deck, or book a massage or a facial at the spa, which uses natural products and traditional techniques.
Cielo Lodge is an ideal base to explore the wider region of the Osa Peninsula and the Golfo Dulce. You can visit other attractions such as Corcovado National Park, one of the most biodiverse and protected areas in the world; Piedras Blancas National Park, a rainforest area with waterfalls and hot springs; Isla del Caño, a marine reserve with coral reefs and dolphins; or Golfito, a charming town with colorful buildings and local markets.

If you are flying from San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, you can take a domestic flight to Golfito, a coastal town near Cielo Lodge. The flight takes about 45 minutes and costs around $100 per person one way1. Cielo Lodge will pick you up at the Golfito Airport for the 30-minute drive out of town, up into the hills to the lodge. This service is included in the rate. If you are driving from San Jose or other parts of Costa Rica, you can also reach Cielo Lodge by car. The drive from San Jose to Golfito takes about six hours on average, depending on traffic and road conditions. You can park your car at a secure location in Golfito and Cielo Lodge will pick you up from there. Alternatively, you can take a public bus from San Jose to Golfito, which takes about eight hours and costs around $15 per person one way. You can then take a taxi or arrange a pickup with Cielo Lodge from the bus station.
