Sustainability
The lodge and campsite are powered by solar energy and use water from the river. They also recycle waste and compost organic matter. The lodge and campsite employ local staff and support the Puros Conservancy, which manages the natural resources and wildlife of the area. The conservancy benefits from the income generated by tourism activities, such as game drives, nature walks and cultural tours. The lodge and campsite also support the local Himba community by buying their crafts, donating to their school and clinic, and respecting their culture.
